Who performs your sonography

Scans are performed and reported by our radiologists, not by technicians. Dr. Sandeep Patel (MBBS, DNB Radiodiagnosis) scans at the Sector 20 centre and Dr. Sohel Dadan (MBBS, DMRE) at the Sector 35E centre. Both hold a Fellowship in Fetal Medicine from the UK, which is why pregnancy scans such as the NT scan and the anomaly scan are a large part of what we do.

Same-day reports, explained to you

The radiologist reports your scan right after it is done and talks you through the findings before you leave. You can take the report back to your referring doctor the same day.

How to prepare for your scan

Abdominal scans usually need about six hours of fasting. Pelvic scans done through the abdomen need a full bladder, so drink water an hour before and do not empty your bladder. A transvaginal scan needs an empty bladder. Most scans take 15 to 30 minutes. We confirm the preparation for your particular scan when you book.

Pregnancy scans and the PC-PNDT Act

For any pregnancy scan you must bring a referral from your doctor and a photo ID; both are required by law. Sex determination of the foetus is not done at our centres. It is a punishable offence under the PC-PNDT Act.
